
The Culinary Journey
As a young Army wife beginning in 1986, and throughout the years since, cooking for my family, friends, and even strangers has been a true honor. Each meal has been part of a lifelong culinary journey—one filled with learning, creativity,
and heartfelt connection.
In 2023, I was honored to be selected to compete in the prestigious James Beard Foundation "Favorite Chef" fundraising competition that brings together top chefs, passionate home cooks, and creative food artists to showcase their skills—all while supporting a great cause. The eight-week competition—offered a $25,000 prize, a magazine feature in the "Taste of Home" magazine and an exclusive weekend cooking experience with one of Food Network's favorite chefs, Chef Carla Hall. What great opportunity it was for me, the only home cook to place in the top 64 out of the 128,000 competitors from around the world!
Every dish and dessert featured here is entirely real and photographed moments before serving, reflecting my dedication to authenticity, craftsmanship, and refined visual storytelling. Through my lens, each creation embodies the harmony of taste, texture, and timeless elegance.
